About Attorney Jack Mahon

Jack Mahon

Attorney Jack Mahon is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Georgia School of Law. His undergraduate research in history concentrated on twentieth-century American law enforcement, with a particular focus on Fourth Amendment challenges to stop-and-frisk practices — a foundation that continues to inform his approach to protecting clients’ constitutional rights today. He is a member of the Detroit, Oakland County, and Genesee County Bar Associations.

Attorney Mahon’s legal career began at a large corporate law firm in Detroit, where he honed the research, writing, negotiation, and litigation skills he now brings to bear as a Michigan criminal defense lawyer, representing clients throughout Metro Detroit, Oakland County, Genesee County, and the rest of the State of Michigan. His criminal defense practice covers the full spectrum of charges — including drunk driving (OWI), violent crimes, and felony offenses, up to and including homicide — with a singular focus: protecting his clients’ rights and securing the most favorable resolution possible for their case.

Attorney Mahon understands that a criminal defense attorney’s role is two-fold. He guides clients through the complexity of Michigan’s criminal justice system toward a positive outcome, but he also recognizes the human element behind every case — the emotional weight his clients carry. He believes shouldering that weight alongside his clients is one of the most important parts of his job.

Outside of his legal practice, Attorney Mahon enjoys playing disc golf, watching Quentin Tarantino films, and exploring Michigan’s state parks with his wife.
